The Marathwada region has a very rich and glorious background of art and literature since the golden age of the Gupta Empire. Marathwada can very rightly be called the land of art as it is the land which proudly possesses the world famous monuments AJANTA and ELLORA. It was here that the great saint Dnyaneshwar was inspired to write commentary of Bhagwat Geeta which is known as DNYANESHWARI. This was the land where great empires came into existence and made history. The temples, mosques, gurudwaras and numerous historical |
monuments echo the great cultural heritage even to this day.
Mahatma Gandhi Mission was founded 26 years back as public charitable trust with the aim of imparting quality education and health care. It now runs about 30 educational and other institutions at Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nanded, Parbhani and Noida (New Delhi), which include medical colleges, engineering colleges, general hospitals, specialty hospitals, etc. Many of its institutions have acquired a prominent place in the society.
