About Food Technology
Food Technology is a multidisciplinary course which involves the study of various branches such as Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry and Nutrition, Food and Industrial Microbiology, Food Trade and Business Management and deals with production, preservation,development of new products, packaging, quality assurance, food laws and regulation, environmental science, engineering aspects such as mass transfer, heat transfer, food processing equipments, instrumentation and |
process control, plant layout, plant design as well as different aspects of food trade and business management such as co-operation, marketing and finance, business management and international trade, enterpeneurship development and communication skills for various food products.

Establishment and Objectives
MGM's College of Food Technology was established on 24th July 2008 . The intake capacity of the college is 40 students per year.
Objectives:

To impart technical knowledge in the field of Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry and Nutrition, Food and Industrial Microbiology, Food Trade and Business Management.

To provide comprehensive and effective training to the students in the application of Food Technology skills in the field of food production, food preservation, food packaging, food quality assurance, and development of new food products for the benefit of the society.

To learn advanced techniques of food production and food preservation such as chilling, freezing, drying, freeze drying, pasteurization, sterilization aseptic packaging, irradiation, chemical preservation.

The college of Food Technology has excellent infrastructural facilities like Office, Classroom, Library, Laboratories, Furniture, Computers with Internet , Hostel, Play Ground, Gymnasium, Medical, Bank, Mess, and Canteen. Practicals are conducted in the college and on instructional farm as well. Guest lectures and visits to various research institutes of public and private sector including MAU, Parbhani are conducted by the college.
