The University has taken various initiatives for creating general Health awareness with emphasis on HIV AIDS.
A research secretariat has been established to provide technical assistance to the students in designing dissertation subjects and facilitate medical writing, so that research is documented both as a dissertation and also as publication.
University of Health Sciences is looking forward to the establishment of an institute of research in infectious diseases. It also intends to create opportunities for bringing other health sciences institutions of Mahatma Gandhi Mission within the ambit of the university. It further intends to expand its educational and research activities in the field of medicine, dental nursing and physiotherapy.
